Realized object with access control to a parking in Odessa

Release time:2020-05-24

How the housing complex saved 35,000 € for people and made life easier for residents.

We have been working in security systems for 20 years and we know for sure that security is an investment of money that will definitely pay off in the future.

We want to tell you a story from the real life of our employee who himself witnessed how security equipment can also save serious money to its users immediately after installation, in addition to the usual security functions.

Our residential complex is positioned as a complex with a closed territory. Entrance to the territory is carried out by RFID keychain, access to the elevator - also, to enter through barriers. As soon as we stopped, the question immediately became how to enter the territory, or rather how to open the barrier.

The smart company that installed the barrier “loaded” the management company to sell its remotes to tenants at a price of “only” 25 euros.

In our residential complex, 6 houses of 600 apartments are planned, totaling 3,600 apartments. Of these, approximately every second one has a car; it turns out that the population of the LCD must spend about 1.800 * 25 = 45.000 € in total for trinkets for the barrier. It turns out a very impressive amount.

And here the management company was lucky, our client came to them (he works closely with developers and various OSMD) and proposed the installation of a UHF access system for cars.

UHF access system is such an access control system in which not ordinary RFID readers are used as readers, but special UHF antennas with a reading range of 6-12 meters. Such systems are ideal for opening barriers, as they allow identification from a distance, without having to bring the identifier close to the reader. An example of such a reader is ZKTeco UHF2-10E.

I don’t know for sure how much they took the money for installation and configuration, but according to my calculations, the system cost no more than 2000 € for each point of access, we have 3 entrances in total, total: 6.000 € for antennas with controllers plus 2 * 1.800 = 3.600 € for UHF tags. Total system cost up to 9,600 € along with UHF tags. You save 35.000 €. At the same time, it has now become much more convenient to use the system, since the barrier will open automatically when a car with a tag is approaching and there is no need to rummage through the glove compartment every time in search of a keychain that opens the barrier. Plus, the battery will not run out at the mark, the buttons from frequent use will not wear out, and the mark glued to the windshield cannot be forgotten at home or at work, it is always with your car.

This is such a case of competent use of modern technologies in everyday life, when technologies take the side of people and not only bring convenience, but also save money.
